LETTER TO HOT FM (JOBURG RADIO STATION)
Good day,
My name is Sandy Getsos. I am a cancer patient. I was in remission for almost 10 years. In July 2024 it was rediagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. 2 brain tumors and lung cancer. Had a craniotomy 1 year ago to remove the 1 tumor and the remaining tumor is inoperable, but shrinking with treatment, thanks to my oncologist Dr Adam Nosworthy 😀
It's been 1 month since I was gifted a CPAP machine from Oxygen Homecare , with Neville Bennie. I have been gifted an extension to my life. The machine is a blessing for me at night. I am truly grateful and thankful 🙏🏻
Ally the case manager has been amazing with the setup and training me on the machine.
I have been in hospital 3 times this year. April and again in July with heart failure, then in August I went in for a heart ablation, where they go in through your groin into the heart and cauterize what is causing the arrhythmias. (Defibrillation is a medical procedure that uses an electrical shock to restore a normal heartbeat during life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, such as ventricular fibrillation (a quivering heart) or pulseless ventricular tachycardia)
I can't thank Hot cares (Lucky) and the whole of Hot 102.7 for what you do for the community. We are all truly blessed to have such wonderful and incredible people in our lives.
