When your patients have paws! 🐾

We don’t usually x-ray pets, but we couldn’t say no to these two absolute cuties who paid us a visit. Safe to say, they stole a few hearts along the way!

Don’t worry though, while we were enjoying the moment, we made sure everything stayed spotless and up to our usual high standards of hygiene and care… and it’s all ready again for our human patients. 😉

In 1895, a German scientist named Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen was experimenting with electrical rays in his lab when he noticed something unusual.
A nearby screen started glowing — even though it wasn’t directly exposed to light.
Röntgen realised he had discovered a new type of invisible ray that could pass through soft tissue but not bone. Since he didn’t know what it was, he called it an “X-ray” — X meaning unknown.
The very first X-ray image was of his wife’s hand, clearly showing her bones and wedding ring.
More than 100 years later, they’re still one of the most important tools in medical diagnosis.
Pretty cool how a mystery became a medical essential!
