Graad 5/6 en 7 kursus 2025

Hierdie kursus is in 2015 ontwikkel vir kinders in Graad 4, maar daar was vele versoeke gerig om dit vir die ouer kinders ook aan te bied. Die kursus vind plaas by Van Eckstraat 29 en loop oor twee sessies, elke les duur 2¼ ure. (2 ure kursus met ‘n 15 min pouse na die eerste uur). Ons begin Januarie 2025. Daar sal drie groepe wees.

Tye: Groep 1 Graad 5/6- Eerste sessie: Donderdag 09 Januarie 08h00 tot 10h15.
Tweede sessie: Dinsdag 14 Januarie 10h00 tot 12h15.

Groep 2: Graad 5/6- Eerste sessie: Donderdag 09 Januarie 12h15 tot 14h30.
Tweede sessie: Dinsdag 14 Januarie 14h00 tot 16h15.

Groep 3: Graad 7- Eerste sessie: Dinsdag 07 Januarie 15h15 tot 17h30.
Tweede sessie: Vrydag 10 Januarie 15h15 tot 17h30.

Kostes beloop R1050,00 per kind. Dié wat mediese fondse het met sielkunde voordele kan eis, andersins is die geld vooraf betaalbaar in kontant, (R980 vir kontant). U kind bring niks saam nie (behalwe as jou kind ‘n bril benodig vir lees). Alles word voorsien.
Ongelukkig is daar ‘n beperkte aantal plekke sodat daar individuele aandag gegee kan word.

Take Note!!! Grade 4 Course 2025

This course was developed in 2015 and has been repeated upon request for several years. The course takes place at 29 van Eck Street and is divided into two sessions, each lasting 2¼ hours (2 hours of course time with a 15-minute break after the first hour). We begin in January 2025. There will be two groups.

Times: Group 1: First session: Monday, 06 January, 14:00 to 16:15.
Second session: Friday, 10 January, 12:15 to 14:30.

Group 2: First session: Tuesday, 07 January, 12h15 to 14h30.
Second session: Saturday 11 January 14h00 to 16h15.


Cost: R1050.00 per child. Those with medical funds that cover psychology can claim, otherwise, payment is required upfront in cash (R980 for cash payments). Your child does not need to bring anything (unless they require glasses for reading). Everything will be provided.
Unfortunately, there are limited spaces available to ensure individual attention for each participant.

Do you know how your child is holding their pen?

I find more and more children with an incorrect pencil grip.

Did you know that an incorrect pencil grip uses more muscles and causes your child's hand to tire quicker? This has a huge impact on your child when they start writing exams that last for 2-3 hours.

Human beings are herd animals We need people around us. The present lockdown, in all its forms, has forced us into unnatural situations.

These are difficult circumstances to cope with. For those who had issues before lockdown, these have probably worsened over the last few weeks. The constantly changing circumstances we find ourselves in can also lead to frustration and insecurity.

According to local news outlets, the number of calls to helplines and similar organizations have more than doubled.

This tells us that people are experiencing numerous problems associated with lockdown and are finding it difficult to cope. Every change in itself is stressful and the severity of the lockdown is not making it easier. We are facing many unknowns right now. During these times we need to be aware about how we think about ourselves, and the situations we find ourselves in.

Take the First Step.

Everything has a positive and a negative side, even Lockdown. On the positive side it may give people time to spend together, strengthening bonds that had been neglected in the past. It could also be the time to catch up with work around the house that there was never time for. However being "forced" to stay together can cause stress. Especially if there are already problems. Sometimes these problems can be solved. Sometimes it may lead to a deterioration in relationships. Which can lead to strained relationships at best, or even to violence, su***de or physical abuse.

There is help available.

Even in these trying times. From friends and pastors to psychologists. If you are in a bad situation, remember there is always a way out. But you have to take the first step.

If you are worried about yourself or your relationships, remember that many medical aids will cover counseling and marriage counseling.
