🚨 WARNING: Black Market “Ozempic” and Weight-Loss Injections 🚨
We are increasingly seeing patients obtaining GLP-1 medications (such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, and similar injections) on the black market or without a proper prescription.
This is extremely dangerous.
These drugs obtained outside a licensed pharmacy are not only illegal and unregulated, but may also be counterfeit, contaminated, incorrectly dosed, or completely different substances.
The consequences can be serious — and in some cases life-threatening.
⚠️ GLP-1 medications are powerful medical treatments, not cosmetic weight-loss injections.
Even when prescribed correctly, these medications can cause significant side effects that require medical screening and monitoring.
Evidence-based risks include:
🔴 Kidney failure
Severe vomiting, diarrhea, or dehydration can lead to acute kidney injury, sometimes requiring hospitalization or dialysis.
👁️ Vision loss in diabetic patients
Rapid blood sugar changes have been linked to worsening diabetic eye disease, including bleeding in the eye and blindness.
🪨 Gallbladder disease
GLP-1 drugs have been associated with gallstones and gallbladder inflammation, sometimes requiring surgery.
🤢 Severe digestive symptoms
Up to 44% of patients experience nausea, with vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and severe constipation also commonly reported.
🔥 Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
This can be life-threatening and may lead to chronic pancreatic disease.
🧬 Serious allergic reactions
Rare but dangerous reactions such as anaphylaxis and airway swelling have been reported.
⚠️ Possible thyroid tumor risk
These medications are contraindicated in people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN-2 syndrome.
💊 These medications are not suitable for everyone.
They require:
✔ A proper medical assessment
✔ Screening for contraindications
✔ Monitoring for serious side effects
Using them without medical supervision is reckless and dangerous.
❗ Please do not buy injectable medications from social media, gyms, beauty clinics, or “friends of friends”.
If you are considering weight-loss medication or GLP-1 therapy, speak to your doctor first so we can determine whether it is safe and appropriate for you.
Your health is far more important than a quick fix.
