Gestalt Dino therapy is a complete therapy process for children and adults to discover how they unconsciously use masks; how their masks originated, and how to get rid of them.
During the therapy, they discover how they are trapped in the sediment of their past, how they unconsciously block their own growth, well-being and health through unconscious masks.
The individual comes to an understanding of what healthier, feasible alternatives exist for those masks that cause stagnation and develops self-knowledge, integration, energy is increased, and initiative is taken to take action to restore their own identity and self-esteem.

My eie drome speel 'n onmisbare rol in my geestesgesondheid. Na my ma se heengaan was hierdie die eerste rou-smart droom van 'n reeks:
"Ek en Ma sit alleen in 'n motor in 'n verlate parkeerterrein. Sy sê daar is 'n man in 'n rolstoel alleen in die donkerte en ons kan hom nie net so los nie, ons móét hom help. Sy wil uitklim om hom te gaan help maar ek stop haar en sê nee dis donker sy gaan net seerkry - sy is alreeds so siek en swak. Ek klim alleen uit en vind die man in 'n verlate donker area - slegs die sterre se weerkaatsing is op sy rolstoel sigbaar. Hy wil aanvanklik nie gehelp word nie. Die droom eindig waar ek met inspanning hom in sy rolstoel stoot op 'n baie steil maar verligte sement-pad. Ek gaan nie weer terug na my Ma wat in die motor wag nie.
My droom se boodskap vir my:
Die vrou saam met my in die motor verteenwoordig my respek en bewondering vir my ma se geloof - sy het altyd geglo sy kan die onmoontlike doen en dan het sy gesê "omdat Jesus Christus my help." Die man wat uitklim om te gaan help (ek in die droom), verteenwoordig daardie faset van my wat, soos my Ma, die liefdes-drang ervaar om ander in nood te help. Die man in die rolstoel in die donker is daardie deel van my menswees wat sedert my ma se afsterwe, en ander verliese, soms soos 'n halwe mens voel, en vasgevang in die donker van rou. Die steil sement-pad verteenwoordig my steil pad vorentoe - die toekoms tegemoet sonder Ma.
'n Droom eindig nooit in 'n sinvolle slot en gevolgtrekking nie, want dit is die dromer se verantwoordelikheid om die slot te skryf.
Deur bewuswording is die slot van die onvoltooide droom tuis gebring in my gees.
Slot van my droom: God troos my deur vir my te sê dat ek nie my ma agtergelaat het alleen in die donker nie - ek het haar by Hom gelos - Hý is die motor op die parkeer terrein in die droom! Die sementpad in die droom, die pad na my toekoms, loop nie terug na my ma waar ek haar in die motor gelos het nie. Die man in die rolstoel - ek wat soos 'n halwe mens voel, sal gehelp word en aangevuur word deur die man wat hom die steil sement-pad help opgaan, naamlik daardie plek in my hart wat die goeie hart van my ma moet laat voortleef in my, om ander in nood te help en in liefde en Jesus te glo.

Many times a parent or teacher wants to know what a child's picture means. There is a therapeutic process with which you can guide the child to discover the true meaning of his or her picture through awareness. This increases the child's self-knowledge and helps the child to feel more integrated and to discover initiative and own solutions for his or her need or problem.
Not only children, but also adults' art can be of great therapeutic value for them with the help of this awareness process.

As a fellow human being, child of God, Social Worker and Gestalt therapist, it is fascinating for me to experience how children, teenagers and adults can overcome almost any debilitating existence-crises and condition. In my private practice, I facilitate primary school children, teenagers and adults using my unique non-confrontational and creative Gestalt programmes, for example Colour, Dino and Astro therapy, to discover their own potential and find solutions themselves.
