1 year has flown by

Alhamdulillah (All Praise and Thanks to Allah)

To have rooms of my own was a dream that was years in the making and I am beyond grateful and so overwhelmed.

I've gained a separate family of patients who support and encourage me to do my work that fuels my soul and passion! Thank you for your never ending support. I truly appreciate it all and cherish all my patients.

This post will be incomplete without thanking my parents, siblings, family, friends, my undercover admin team πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‚ and of course my husband. They have taken care of me, consoled me and encouraged me through this process of starting and growing a business in a year that was already so difficult. I am aware that this is a major blessing and I am so grateful to have you all β™₯️

May the Almighty bless us all with everything of the best in this world and In the Hereafter and may He protect us from all harm, calamity and evil. Ameen.

After giving sleep ergonomics advice, a common response is ' I can't control what positions I'm in whilst I'm asleep' TRUE! So here's an easy answer:
Always start with the recommended sleep position and upon waking throughout the night, adjust back to the ideal position. This will help you spend minimal time aggravating your problem.

1. Aorta exists on the left.
β™₯️ Easier for the heart to pump downhill.

2. Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) runs along the spine and brings blood from the lower body back to the heart to get oxygenated.
β™₯️ Best blood flow to the fetus, uterus and kidneys. This position also prevents the enlarged uterus from compressing the IVC.

3. Keeps the junction between stomach and oesaphagus above gastric acid level by tightening the sphincter between the oesaphagus and stomach.
β™₯️ Eases heartburn

4. 75% of lymph drains into the thoracic duct which drains into the left side of the heart.
β™₯️ Better lymph drainage

5. Liver and gallbladder found in the right side of the body can secrete bile easier with the help of gravity. This position also keeps enlarged uterus off the liver and gallbladder.

1. Side sleeping, with the back straight, shoulders relaxed, pillow under the head and another pillow between the knees. Trust me here πŸ˜‰ your second pillow between the knees is so comfy you won't be able to do without it!

2. Sleep on the back, shoulders relaxed, arms on side or on lower stomach. Pillow under the head and another pillow under the knees.
