Skin cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer and sun exposure is one of the leading risk factors.
Melanoma, the most serious type, can develop from existing moles or appear as new spots on the skin. Protecting your skin from excessive sun exposure is essential, but so is knowing what to look for.
Watch for changes using the ABCDE guide: asymmetry, irregular borders, uneven colour, diameter, and any evolution over time.
Any new or changing spot should be assessed by a healthcare professional.
This Melanoma Awareness Month, protect your skin and prioritize early detection.
