Message from Dr Pillay:

We thank you for the continued support, a lot of work going on behind the scenes to allow for the opening of The new MD24 Port Edward Lifestyle Medical Center next week 1st October

All branches are accepting of medical aid with the exception of one or two smaller meds aids ( we are still trying to get these onboard), cash, card and eft facilities available at all branches.

All staff: Doctors nurses and admin / axillary staff have been and remain in training to keep the service delivery and standards on par.

Our new Dr Nair ( port Edward) and Esihle Makolwa ( Hiberdene ) will be in place to take over from Dr Moses ( HIBBERDENE) from Wednesday 1st October to bring in the much needed staff compliment and professionalism to the practices ,

We bid farewell to our lovely Dr Moses who has taken on a new venture and we wish him well and all the best but will still remain accessible for Locum’s at our practices from time to time.

We have onboarded new admin Staff for these practices and new nurses all trained in house at the shelly beach branch over the past weeks to months.

Yes, it’s been tiring but that’s what’s expected when u try to build a dream with pure dedication, commitment and efforts to match so that our level of services remain the same at all practices.

Looking forward to the days to come, it’s exciting and we are all optimistic for a positive reveal, will update with a staff photos once our uniforms are in as well as facility videos/photos

MD24: Hibberdene turns 4 months 🙌🙌🙌

It's a small landmark in a large dream. We are most proud as it's the first month since inception that we managed to break even,

It's onward and hopefully upward from here. We will persevere, despite multiple challenges, especially with bridge/road closures in Sheppie that affect thoroughfare, and most medical aid funds being depleted, and trying to gain local confidence in the area. It has been our endeavour to gain momentum. It's not an easy task, but we will remain strong in faith and embrace the journey forward.

We want to thank the community for once again trusting us, allowing us into your hearts, supporting MD24, and choosing MD24 as your doctor of choice. We appreciate you ❤️. Much love and thank you 😘. MD 24

Increase in Gastro-enteritis cases ‼️‼️

Gastroenteritis means inflammation in your stomach and intestine. Inflammation makes these organs feel swollen and sore. It causes symptoms of illness, like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea .

We have seen a dramatic increase in numbers over the past week.

Usually self limiting or treated with over the counter meds. But there are many not resolving and even being admitted .

Keep clear fluids up as best you can( and I don’t mean Vodka 😜 or Gin etc ) , keep hydrated and seek medical assistance if resistant to pharmacist meds/ symptomatic treatment

MD24: Port Edward Lifestyle Medical Center

Tesla Radiology✅

The radiology practice will be named Tesla Radiology Services Port Edward ( TRS Port Edward ).

The X-ray machine is a brand new state of the art digital X-ray machine producing diagnostic imaging with same day reporting.

The ultrasound machine will be able to perform O/G scans, general scans, vascular scans and more. It will also beanle to produce 3D imaging. This will be done on a booking basis for now.
