Dr Charl C. van den Berg Orthopaedics & Shoulder Surgeon

Dr Charl C. van den Berg Orthopaedics & Shoulder Surgeon Dr van den Berg is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery and the practice is dedicated to it.

He has experience in the treatment of all shoulder conditions and takes a personal approach to your orthopaedic condition. He will only consider surgical management once conservative avenues have been fully explored. This includes the arthroscopic management of shoulder conditions as well as replacement surgery. While utilizing minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgical techniques, his patients will benefit from the latest international orthopaedic advances and equipment. THE ORTHOPAEDIC PRACTICE

Our practice is a people's practice where we still believe that the patient comes first and all patients are treated equally and in a professional manner. We still believe in the old fashioned way of treating the patient as a human being and not to focus only on the specific problem that presents itself. We believe in making the patient a partner in the process by empowering them with the correct information so that an informed decision can be made. A holistic team approach is essential when providing world-class service. This team includes our staff at the office, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and orthotists. I am also privileged to work with a wonderful and highly skilled theatre team that is always willing to walk the extra mile.

By taking good care about choosing lower risk patients and making sure they isolate before and after surgery, procedures can now be safely offered by hospitals not overloaded by Covid cases

More than 28 million elective surgeries could be cancelled or delayed globally this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
