Christy recently braved a multi-day hike through the wild and wonderful Cederberge 🏕️ — and no, she didn’t survive on trail mix and hope alone.

Despite the temptation to live off instant noodles and granola bars, Christy packed meals with actual vegetables, real protein, and enough fibre to make a dietitian proud 🥦🍳💪.

Honestly, her trail food looked so good, we’re starting to suspect she brought a personal chef in her backpack. 👀🍽️

🥩 How Much Protein Is Too Much for Your Kidneys?

If you’re eating lots of protein for muscle gain, weight loss, or satiety — that’s fine if your kidneys are healthy.

But, overdoing it long-term can stress your kidneys, especially if you have underlying issues (diabetes, hypertension, early-stage chronic kidney disease).

✔️ Pro tip: include more plant proteins into your diet to reduce kidney load.
