The Renal Unit together with Physiotherapy and Dietitian Departments at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital joined the Kidney Awareness movement to support community education on kidney health. The initiative focused on raising awareness about the importance of maintaining healthy kidney function through regular screening, healthy lifestyle choices, physical activity, and early detection of kidney-related conditions.

Through this collaboration, the Renal, Physiotherapy and Dietitian Units engaged with community members by sharing information on preventing kidney disease, managing risk factors such as high blood pressure and diabetes and promoting overall wellness to protect kidney health.
