A Mother’s Day Message from the Chairperson of the Board, SANCA Soweto

To the mothers of Soweto,

On behalf of the Board of SANCA Soweto, I greet you today with deep respect and gratitude.

Motherhood is love in action. It is the sleepless nights, the prayers whispered in the dark, the sacrifices made quietly so your children can have a better tomorrow. Many of you carry burdens that no one sees — worrying about a child lost to substance use, holding your family together when addiction tries to tear it apart, and still showing up with strength and hope.

Today we want you to know: *you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.*

At SANCA Soweto, we walk with families through the pain of addiction and the journey of recovery. We know that healing a child often begins with supporting a mother. This Mother’s Day, we honour your resilience, your love that refuses to give up, and your courage to seek help when it’s needed.

May today bring you a moment of peace, a reminder of your worth, and the assurance that recovery is possible — for your child, for your family, and for you.
