Far East Rand Regional hospital today engaged in Mental Health Awareness Day Walk to create public awareness!!

This happened under the the following themes to the affected:

1. "You are not alone. Mental health matters, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness."

2. "Break the stigma, start the conversation. Let's talk about mental health."

3. "Your mental health is just as bbimportant as your physical health. Take care of yourself."

Compliment for Eye Clinic.

I came to the Eye Clinic to find the staff very helpful and know how to handle people, especially Sinenhlanhla Mpontashane and Mitchel Mohlala and not forgetting our good doctor, madam Evelyn Savhase for her expertise and good smiling service. If she was not married , I would marry her ten times.

I would recommend the above workers for a promotion at anytime.

Far East Rand Regional Hospital has achieved another milestone today with the HoLEP launch (Laser used to manage male patient Prostrate challenge).

Today, our hospital Urology team led by Dr Padayachee from Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital cluster flanked by our local Urology specialist Dr Kabongo lauched HoLEP procedure for Urology patients.

Management and clinical team led by CEO Sonwabo Lindani applauded this initiative as a breakthrough to improve patients in our fight against Prostrate Cancer.

Compliment for Dr Duze and team OOPD.

My special gratitude goes to one particular Dr in OPD Dr Duze for your dedication and a sharp eye towards your work. And also how can I forget the dedicated team of Dr's in OOPD who took over after Dr Duze referred me to OOPD. I am saying thank you bcoz you saw or diagnosed me with C-spine injuries while others said there is nothing wrong with me.
I remember the 1st September 2025 when you requested xrays so that you can assertain yourself firstly.. Then looking at my xrays you said there is your problem even though you said it medical terms I did not understand but u made me know what is it.
Summation of my injuries is that the diagnosis is Central Canal Syndrome. Plus shoulder injury and numbness of my pinkie and ring fingers.. I sleep in pain satisfied that I have a diagnosis. My family is also happy for her dedication and sharp eye in this regard... Keep up the good work Dr's much appreciated

Compliments for Ward 5 and Ward 3.

I Nonhlanhla Mahlangu, patient of ward 5 would like to compliment the staff of ward 5 as whole, the tratment I received was very good even from the doctors.They know how to treat a patient, even umphathiof the ward.
I arrived ai the ward in bad condition but today I am back at work.
Then I was admitted at ward 3 and also got the best treament including the doctors and umphathi of the ward.
I am happy and back at work because of the treatment that I got in these wards.

Compliment for Physiotherapy Department (Panashe Furusa-Mukombachoto).

On the 9th September I was attending physiotherapy due to the issue of legs and waist pain, I was attended by Panashe Furusa-Mukombachoto and she shows to be caring and patient with patients. It was so fine according to the way she treats the patients.
All the tests were done and they provided medication for me and now its time to use what they offered me and see the results since they advised me to come back with the results and also for check-up.

I appreciate the whole process, thank you.
