This is because early detection of health issues makes a difference, helping every learner reach their full potential.

How to lodge a complaint

 It should preferably be lodged in wiring, telephonically and verbally.
 When lodging a complaint, provide us with your name and contact details.

Written complaints should include the following:

 Patients name
 Hospital name that you are complaining about
 Nature of complaint
 Name of the health professional or worker
 Any other relevant information

It is advisable to lodge a complaint as soon as possible and not longer than six months after the incident. Both verbal and telephonic complaints will receive the same attention if detailed information is provided correctly.

NB: Never leave the facility if you have a complaint, request to talk with the manager of the area where the complaint originates from

A big thank you to Casualty and Ward 8.

My husband ,Len Armstrong was admitted through Casualty on the night of 21 November 2025 and transferred to Ward 8 where he passed on ,on the 6 December 2025.

My son and I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the care my husband received. We would also like to say thank you for the friendliness and kindness shown yo us during this time.We would like to thank Dr Ramatlo and the female Dr(I think her surname starts with a M).All the nursing staff and support staff.

On the 7th January 2026 I came to the hospital with my blind father-in-law, and sister Sebenzile was beyond helpful towards me and my father-in-law.

The medical interns will be completing their community service while serving communities in different departments within the hospital. Compliment for Far East Rand Regional Hospital

I wish to extend my gratitude to the service I received from patient affairs staff Ms. Thandi Magagula and Mr. Tumelo. Not forgetting Dr. Magana, and other clinicians who had name tags but I did not know if they were Doctors or nurses at Paedriatics triage unit. Based on the negative publicity of state hospitals, FERH in particular, I didn't expect such quick service. Thank you
