What does being Tired or Drained mean to you? 🤔
This could look different for each of us, as we need to understand what our body is telling us to be able to nurture it with the right form of rest. Did you know there are 7 different ways which we could do this! 😴🧘🏻♀️🎨📱🌳
PHYSICAL REST
This is the one people are most commonly aware of. Here we need to give our physical body time to recuperate by: sleeping 7+ hours, stretching, massage
MENTAL REST
In today’s fast paced world mental fatigue is ever growing! By focusing on the mind and body connectedness through breath work throughout the day we can allow the brain to rest, recuperate and feel reinvigorated!
SOCIAL REST
We all need time to unplug from the world around us, and can either rest by avoiding social situations and have quiet time (introverts) or seek quality time with people who make you feel good and energize you!
SPIRITUAL REST
This is resting via connecting deeply through meditation, prayer, or connections with nature to rejuvenate your soul.
EMOTIONAL REST
This is vital to effectively manage stress on a long term basis. By staying away from people who emotionally drain you or cutting back on pleasing people, we are able to rejuvenate our emotional side
SENSORY REST
This is something everyone should focus on more - but cutting down on screen time and social media we are able to become more connected to ourself and restore a sense of balance in our daily lives
CREATIVE REST
This is tapping into our creativity to recharge ourselves by finding something that inspires us whether it be music, journaling, painting or simply being out in nature
