Could it really be this simple?

Supporting the nervous system.
Reducing processed foods.
Coming back to real, whole nutrition.

Not as a quick fix, but as a way of living.

Time and time again, we see how much can shift when patients begin to integrate these foundations into their daily lives. Not as a prescription, but as something they embody.

And then something clicks.

You see it in their energy.
In their understanding.
In the way they reconnect with their own health.

That moment. That joy.

As Elma says, “cellular happiness.”
When the body feels supported, everything else begins to follow.

🎙Here we are joined by Dr Elouise who practices at RevitaHealth , the full conversation is coming soon on The Integrative Shift.

In the meantime, there are already powerful interviews waiting for you. Real conversations with doctors exploring a more connected, integrative way of practising medicine.

If you haven’t explored it yet, it’s a beautiful place to start.

In a system built around time pressure, it’s easy to forget how much care actually happens in the space between questions.

Time to listen.
Time to explain.
Time for patients to understand what’s happening in their own bodies.

In this snippet from The Integrative Shift, Dr Nick Simpson speaks to something simple, but often overlooked. That better outcomes don’t only come from what we prescribe, but from how we engage with patients in the process.

Integrative medicine places emphasis on this relationship.

Not as a one-way instruction.
But as a partnership.

Where patients are informed, involved, and supported in understanding their health, not just managing symptoms.

This is from our very first episode of The Integrative Shift.

SASIM supports practitioners exploring this approach through education, shared learning, and a growing professional community.

Histamine intolerance is often treated as a simple food issue.
But in practice, it’s rarely that straightforward.

It can reflect deeper imbalances. The nervous system, gut health, and biochemical pathways all playing a role in how the body responds.

In this upcoming CPD webinar, explores a more integrative lens. Looking beyond symptoms to understand why histamine reactions occur, and how to support patients more effectively over time.

This is for practitioners who want to expand their clinical thinking while staying grounded in evidence, collaboration, and whole-person care.

Medicine is evolving.

Not away from science, but deeper into it.
Not replacing what works, but expanding what’s possible.

More practitioners are beginning to recognise that health isn’t shaped by one system alone. It’s influenced by biology, environment, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, and the context of a person’s life.

Integrative medicine creates space for this fuller picture.
It allows doctors to ask better questions, explore broader tools, and support patients in a more meaningful, sustainable way.

At SASIM, the intention is simple.
To support practitioners in expanding their clinical approach, while staying grounded in evidence, collaboration, and ongoing learning.

If you’re curious about deepening your toolkit, connecting with like-minded doctors, or exploring a more integrative way of practicing, you’re invited to learn more through the link in bio.

When we take the full picture into account, clinical decisions change.

Not just the physical symptoms, but the psychological history.
Not just the diagnosis, but the context of a patient’s life.

Because often, what presents physically is influenced by much more.

For many practitioners, this is where integrative medicine begins.
Not as an alternative, but as a more complete way of seeing the patient.

In this snippet from The Integrative Shift, Dr Nick Simpson speaks to the importance of bringing these pieces together. When we do, care becomes more considered, more connected, and often more effective.

A true win-win for both patient and practitioner.

SASIM supports doctors exploring this broader clinical approach through ongoing education, CPD-accredited webinars, and a growing community of peers.

Many of the health challenges we’re seeing today are complex, often involving multiple systems interacting over time.

For many practitioners, this raises an important question.

Are our current approaches enough on their own?

Integrative medicine doesn’t reject conventional care.
It builds on it.

By expanding the clinical lens to include lifestyle, prevention, and a broader understanding of health, we open the door to more comprehensive, patient-centred care.

This is the direction many in medicine are beginning to explore.

SASIM supports practitioners on this path through education, collaboration, and a growing professional community.

Medicine has always been built on shared knowledge.
But as patient cases become more complex, the need for collaboration across perspectives becomes even more important.

Many long-term health conditions involve multiple systems interacting over time. Metabolic, immune, neurological, environmental, and lifestyle factors often overlap.

Integrative medicine creates space to bring these perspectives together, not to replace conventional care, but to expand how we understand and support health.

SASIM exists to support medical professionals exploring this approach through:

• Ongoing CPD-accredited education
• Webinars and clinical discussions
• A growing network of practitioners
• Shared learning and collaboration

It’s about building a community where medicine can continue to evolve, responsibly, collaboratively, and with the patient at the centre.

If you're a practitioner interested in expanding your clinical approach, you’re welcome to explore more.

Sometimes the shift doesn’t begin with a decision.
It begins with a moment your body won’t let you ignore.

In this conversation on The Integrative Shift, Dr Janine Kirby shares how reaching a point of physical burnout became a turning point. Not just in her health, but in how she understood medicine itself.

Working within the system, she realised something many practitioners quietly experience. That there are moments where the answers we’ve been trained to give don’t fully meet what the body is asking.

And sometimes, the most important clinical skill becomes the ability to listen more deeply.

Her journey into integrative medicine wasn’t planned.
It was prompted by the recognition that health is often more complex, more interconnected, and more personal than a single framework can hold.

These are the kinds of conversations we explore on The Integrative Shift.
Where clinical experience meets curiosity, and where medicine continues to evolve.

If you're a practitioner navigating similar questions, you’re not alone.

Integrative medicine is often misunderstood.

It’s not about rejecting conventional medicine or replacing established treatment. Instead, it asks a broader set of clinical questions.

Many long-term health conditions involve multiple systems interacting over time. Metabolic, neurological, immune, environmental, and lifestyle factors can all play a role.

Integrative medicine aims to bring these perspectives together within responsible, evidence-informed clinical care.

SASIM exists to support medical professionals exploring this evolving field through education, peer collaboration, and ongoing learning.

Coming soon to the SASIM podcast 🎙️

We recently had a deeply thoughtful conversation with Dr Janine Kirby, and we feel very fortunate to have her as part of the SASIM community.

Dr Kirby works at the intersection of family medicine, homeopathy, mindfulness, and palliative care, bringing a truly whole-person perspective to the way she practices medicine.

In this episode she reflects on how her own health journey shaped the way she supports patients today. Living with a challenging autoimmune condition in her younger years forced her to look more closely at the role of lifestyle, diet, and inner awareness in health. Through exploring approaches that reduce inflammation and cultivating a consistent mindfulness practice, she began to experience a profound shift in her wellbeing. That personal experience now informs the compassionate, integrative lens she brings to her work with patients and families.

It’s a powerful reminder that medicine is not only about treating disease. It’s about understanding the full human experience behind it.

Keep an eye out for this episode coming soon.

If you’re a doctor or health professional interested in expanding your clinical lens and learning alongside a community of curious, open-minded practitioners, you’re warmly invited to explore SASIM.
