Even registered aromatherapists don’t know this…😮
Essential oils aren’t regulated, and the industry has zero uniform standards — which is why an estimated 87% of oils are adulterated, diluted, or completely synthetic.
You can often spot this just by reading the label.👀🔎
Some companies list “limonene” or “linalool.” At least that’s transparent — and it does make oils more affordable and widely available. (These can still be organic and "pure".)
But for me? I want the real deal when working with plants as a healing modality. 🌱
Many companies don’t list anything at all.
Some offer fully synthetic fragrances without a single clue on the label.
And honestly… what do we expect if the bottle costs R30–R40? 💰
Sadly, these are the ones I see most often in aromatherapists’ rooms. 🥲
As a therapist, I’ve seen how real, plant-specific oils perform. Wildcrafted and organic where possible; food-grade when applicable — and in my core range, each oil is tested for purity.
I’m deeply passionate about natural medicine and keeping aromatherapy rooted in its true herbal origins. If you feel the same, you’re in the right place. 🌿👃
