A reminder to create ripples in your life. Not everything has to be a big wave.
Start small. Start somewhere.

You have to be an active participant in your journey. You can't rely solely on outside sources for your happiness or success. Go within. Talk to your heart. Listen to the response. Feel the response.

Build a firm foundation so that everything else has stability and strength. Rise slowly and know that you don't have to tell anyone about it. Time is an illusion and allow yourself to figure things out with a clear mind, no matter how long it takes.

You've got this, babe.

It's been so long since I put my own needs on top of my priority list- if at all.

For almost 8 years, since I was pregnant with Ila, my main reason for living was to nurture and give everything to my children, often forgetting that the nourishment can only be at its best when I, myself, am nourished.

These last 2 years, I have been at an absolute low.
Trying to reshape my business, being pregnant and birthing my son, all while navigating my separation from my husband.

My hair was thinning, I lost so much weight and my skin just looked tired all the time.
I reached a point where I looked at myself and I decided that was enough. It's time to put myself and my self care at the top of the list.

They say it takes 21 days to create a new habit. So I am doing my own 21 days self care/ nourishment challenge which I will be sharing with you! If you are in a similar position, I'd love for you to join me!
We can use the hashtag to be able to see the progress ❤️🌹

Who is rising with me?

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or you are just starting out, now is a good time to start growing your own food!

For us in the Southern hemisphere, we are heading towards colder weather, but you can still grow those hearty winter crops if you get them going now!

Autumn gardens thrive in three categories: leafy greens, root crops, and the mighty brassicas including – broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower. It's a good time to plant your peas too!

Additionally, short-lived herbs such as coriander, rocket, dill, basil, parsley, borage, chives, and garlic chives can also be added as long as they are kept in the warmer spots of the garden.

Have you started your winter grow yet?
If so, let me know in the comments what you have planted recently!

We're all familiar with the Law of Attraction, but what does it actually mean?

You can 'manifest' as much as you want to, but you will never get what you want unless you are ALIGNED.

"I want happiness."
This is not enough. This is a basic human want, but there is a whole lot of work that goes into actually attracting happiness.

First, start with gratitude. Being thankful for what you actually have. Start noticing the abundance in everythinggggg.

The vast space of the sky, the leaves on the trees, your children in your arms, the breath in your lungs.

Feel that? That's a vibration that will naturally (scientifically) attract more things to be grateful for.

You are a positively charged vessel. This attracts more positive things. When you have negative thoughts and behaviors, they block these positive things from entering your space.

Do this simple gratitude practice everyday and you will start to notice more and more things that make you smile.
But make sure to also work on those darker thoughts (I don't deserve this, it's so difficult, I want what she has, etc)

For example, these pictures of my butternuts - you might see 2 butternuts, I see a whole bunch of different meals.
It's all about perspective.

Curious about incorporating herbal medicine into your daily routine?
Then this is for you!

Most of the time, people see herbalism as 'what the plants are good for' but what they forget is WHY are you taking this herb and
HOW does is work with your system so that you can achieve healing?

You can't drink a tea and expect results. You need to find the root of the dis-ease and the cause of it so that you can treat the body, mind and spirit as a whole instead of just the singled out symptom.

In this thread, I offer a few tips to keep in mind when starting (or deepening) your relationship with herbal medicine.

In the comments below, let me know what you think!

How many times have you been grocery shopping and it end up being an anxious and stressful experience because your two bags of basics went way over your budget?
Growing your own food is something that everyone should be doing. With the cost of living rising before our eyes, it is essential that we start learning how we can grow and make our everyday meals. Or at least some of it.
Think about how a simple bunch of bananas gets to your counter top.
Firstly, it is grown in a different country - nine times out of ten, it has been sprayed with harmful pesticides and grown in an unnatural way so that it can produce copious amounts of fruit all year round.
This fruit is picked before it is ripe which doesn't allow the fruit to actually reach its full potential regarding nutrients.
It is then transported in trucks, trains, aeroplanes or boats which contribute to all kinds of pollution. It finally reaches the place where it is put on a shelf for you to buy, probably wrapped in plastic.
You end up driving to buy it, supporting these companies and methods, taking it home, throwing the plastic in the bin and hoping that this banana is going to nourish you.
The sad truth is, there's not much left there. A banana today has less than HALF of the nutrients it has 50 years ago.

The solution to all of this?
Grow your own!

In my online workshop Farm To Fork, I teach you how to grow your own food and medicine in the space that you are provided. You don't even need a garden! You just need a bit of space, patience and the drive to nourish yourself, the earth and your bank account!
