👩🏾‍🏫 Facilitator @ Health Promoters since 2015

“I’ve learnt so much about health since joining Health Promoters. This course is life-changing — knowledge brings privilege to those who didn’t know before. It’s vital that we teach our kids about health early on. I’m truly grateful for my job and pray for continued growth for this amazing organization.” 🙏🏾💚

Today marks five years since our world stood still. Five years without this charismatic man who ignited the fire and led us with passion and conviction. Encouraged by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, he started health education in the townships.

You would be so proud of where we are now. Of the conversations we are having and the partnerships we are building, including a significant milestone we achieved for our big plan to make the organization self-reliant. "Big time!" you would have said — and rightfully so.

We are proud of you. Proud that you started this. You live on in everything we do.. 💛

With longing, we look back on the time when you were still with us.
We miss you, but we will carry on as you taught us…
“Never giving up on the goal you set.”

Yesterday, George Arrey received a medal from the Stellenbosch Municipality for his efforts in the fight against gender-based violence. 💪🏽💜

A beautiful acknowledgment of the work we, as Health Promoters, dedicate our hearts and souls to every day: providing education, raising awareness, and enabling real change.

🌍✨ Nelson Mandela Day – July 18 ✨🌍
Today we honour a man who stands as a symbol of courage, justice, and reconciliation.

Nelson Mandela inspired the world through his fight against inequality and his unwavering commitment to peace and humanity. 💛

➡️ He taught us that true change begins within ourselves.
➡️ That forgiveness is more powerful than revenge.
➡️ And that every one of us – no matter how small – can make a difference.

🙏 Let’s honour his legacy by doing something good for someone else today, no matter how small.

“It is in your hands to make a better world for all who live in it.” – Nelson Mandela

🌍 An evening of purpose and powerful storytelling.

We had the privilege to attend the exclusive screening of “The Last Ranger”, hosted by the South African Embassy, The Hague, Netherlands, in collaboration with the Kruger Park Wildlife Foundation and SA Tourism.

🎬 This Oscar-nominated short film, based on true events, powerfully portrays the relentless efforts of South Africa’s game rangers in the fight against rhino poaching. A moving tribute to real heroes on the frontline of conservation.

👏 Representing the Health Promoters, Regina Eggink was present, alongside Mark Agterdenbosch (SABA), Marcel Burger (KarooCare), and Marjolein Westerterp from Oog voor Afrika — although unfortunately not visible in the photo.

Thank you for this unforgettable and inspiring evening!

They empower residents in townships with the knowledge and strength to shape their own future. While they must work hard themselves, we support them with valuable knowledge and certificates that create opportunities. ✨

A small percentage secure jobs through us because they actively pursue chances. In the future, we want to increase these opportunities even more! 💪

Behind the scenes, we are working hard to offer more impactful trainings. Currently, we provide:
🏥 Basic Health
🧠 Mental Health
🏠 Home Safety

Together, we’re building a better future for the community! 🤝💙
