Hélene Wehmeyer Art Studio is different from all the other Studios in the Western Cape ~ through the medium of Art we help you nourish and develop the perception of yourselves and your environment, not just teach you to do basic ceramics, drawing and painting. The way we teach considerably improves:
fine motor skills, co-ordination, problem solving, observation skills, independent thinking, self-esteem, improved self-confidence, imaginative thinking, concentration, consideration of others, patience, 3-D concepts, understanding of the colour spectrum, general life skills, etc...
We also offer one-on-one NLP and Life Coaching sessions for those who need a bit more motivation at the practice and also via ZOOM. Kids art classes
Teaching children fine arts, pottery and sculpture, they will learn to draw still life, landscapes and work with water colours, making collages. Most projects are completed over a 3 week period and children are signed up and paid for on a termly basis. During the school holidays we organise special projects, so please check upcoming events to see when we are open during the holidays. Adult art classes
These classes focus on learning, exploring and perfecting various techniques of pottery and sculpture. Class details and times
Children aged 5 to 13 years may join the Kids classes and anyone older will join the Adult classes.

Pottery and Sculpture:
Basic Techniques:
A. Slabbing : bowl, teapot, tile, plate, clock
C. Coiling: structured: bowl, plate, pot

The children’s’ curriculum will consist of 3 weeks project cycles, to keep the classes stimulating and exciting.
