Earlier this month I was privileged to attend a review workshop and international BSR conference in the Netherlands. 25 years of BSR in the Netherlands.

What an amazing experience! Close on 2 years of planning and saving. I almost can't believe it's over.

“I had a fantastic experience at the Impulse Conference 2025. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new colleagues, and welcome students who are beginning the exciting journey of becoming Body Stress Release practitioners.

Connecting in smaller groups made the event even more meaningful, allowing us to exchange ideas and insights among both colleagues and students. The brainstorming session was especially inspiring - so many innovative ideas were shared, and the enthusiasm for sharing them was truly inspiring.

It is necessary to be conscious of what it is that causes stress overload.
Knowing the reasons, empower every individual to upgrade the quality of living life to the fullest expression of self.
Warning signals should never be ignored and demands immediate attention.
These are our early signs towards stress overload and require behaviour to change instantly.

In the three arenas of health:
- mechanical
- chemical and
- mental/emotional

This time can be stressful with all its unknowns, but it can also be a great time to build new habits. Why not use the time to build these good habits and find ways to express your emotions. Starting a diary could help.

Once the pain has diminished after initial releases, ongoing maintenance sessions can assist with further upgrading of communication between the brain and the affected areas; restoring more depth of movement and less rigidity, and allowing for old injury areas to resurface so they can also be dealt with.

What to expect in a BSR consultation...

What to expect in a BSR consultation:
BSR sessions are carried out in the professional setting of private consulting rooms within a practice. A case history is taken recording past accidents, fractures and operations as well as notes on what you are currently experiencing.
The practitioner then explains the technique and how it works.
Sessions vary in length depending on what shows up in the assessment.
It is important to note that BSR is a process and not a quick fix. 3 Initial appointment for new clients and then depending on each individual body, maintenance sessions are recommended.
