SCHOOL ANXIETY
School anxiety is especially triggered by school related situations. I have first-hand experience and can identify with those parents who are facing the challenges of an anxious child. But let me share a little bit more on the topic.
School anxiety refers to fears, worries, or stress that a child experience in relation or participating in school.
School anxieties can manifest in many ways such as feeling nervous before going to school, being excessively worried about academic performance, experiencing social anxieties around peers and teachers, being afraid of a teacher or teachers, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of schoolwork.
School anxieties can interfere with the learner’s ability to concentrate, learn and fully participate in school activities.
In the picture below, I briefly explain only a few things of WHAT WE SEE in school anxiety and WHAT MIGHT BE UNDERNEATH the issue.
Remember, parenting is a big responsibility and acquire skill and sensitivity because every parent and child has their own unique personality, developmental phase, temperament and personal challenges (personally or as a family). If you can’t find a solution to the problem, reach out for professional assistance. Remember, we all need help. Children are not born with a parent guide around the umbilical cord.
Growth takes time.🪴
