MEET OUR PSYCHOMETRIC


She is an Employment Equity candidate and has an extensive experience in business management, training and development, psychometric assessment and report writing. She did her internship with Dr. Kekana (Educational Psychologist) whereby she gained an extensive experience in psychometric testing since then. she is now a qualified psychometrist (independent practice). And currently assisting Psychiatrists and Psychologists with psychometric assessments. Her duties and tasks entail the following: administering and scoring tests to evaluate cognitive, emotional, academic/scholastic, behavioural status of the patient, conducting interviews and observing behaviour, building rapport with patients, writing reports and ensuring all medical records and documents are updated accurately. She has been working as a Psychometrist for over 10 years. Furthermore, therefor she is skilful in explaining technical information to people who have no knowledge of the subject, excellent observation and analytical skills, paying attention to details, interpersonal skills and record keeping skills to record responses and behaviour. She has worked extensively as an educator and possess strong facilitation and management skills. Her involvement in psychometric assessment has also exposed me to HR industry especially in psychometric assessment for recruitment purposes.

MEET ONE OF OUR PSYCHOLOGISTS

Mrs Lebo Mhambi is a clinical psychologist with a special interest in mood disorders; su***de and homicide behaviours and treating self-harm behaviours among teenagers and young adults using scientifically proven psychological tools. She also loves working with couples and families using systems approach. She conducts neuropsychological and forensic assessments for different industries and scholastic assessments for schools.

She obtained her Master of Science degree in clinical psychology from the former Medunsa which is currently known as Sefako Makgato Heath Science University (SMU)in Pretoria and completed her internship and community service at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital and Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital in Pretoria.

She is the CEO and founder of Stress Centre, which is a psychology clinic based at Louis Pasteur Hospital and consults privately at Akeso Clinic and Denmar Psychiatric Hospital in Pretoria.

She is passionate about mental health and specifically about destigmatization of mental illnesses in townships and rural areas. She is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical psychologist as well as the Psychological Society of South Africa (PsySSA).

MEET ONE OF OUR PSYCHOLOGISTS

Thembela a registered Counselling Psychologist. She obtained her master's degree at Rhodes University and completed her internship at Rhodes Student Counselling Centre. Previously trained as a psychometrist she has extensive experience in psychometric assessment and career counseling.

Her work is predominantly informed by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Person-Cantered Therapy and Narrative Therapy. She uses various techniques from different kinds of therapy modalities to fit her client's individual needs. She works with children, adolescents and adults faced with a various psychological difficulties.

She works collaboratively with clients because she believes that people are experts in their own lives and have the resources need to reach their psychological wellbeing while she facilitates their therapeutic goals.

She has a special interest in young adults and the challenges they face with regards to their mental health. Her passion for psychoeducation and destigmatising mental health is evident in her various community engagements and radio show interviews.
