💚 Wellness Wednesday: Digital Detox Starts with You. 👫📵

If your family is deep in screen struggles—you are not alone.
These are doable, low-pressure boundaries you can start next week, even if it feels like the screens have taken over.

Struggling with screen battles in your home? Welllll I hate to say it but, it starts with us. 👫 Children (even teens) mirror what we do—so when we’re doom-scrolling or answering messages during dinner, they’re watching. And copying. 🫰🏼

Here are 3 family-friendly phone boundaries to try together starting next week:

🌙 The 7PM Power Down
Devices in a "charging basket" by 7PM. Parents included. Let evenings feel human again.

🛑 Dead Zones for Screens
No phones at the dinner table, in the car, or during 1:1 convos. Start small—pick one space to protect.

📅 Scroll-Free Sundays (or 2-Hour Blocks)
Agree on blocks of screen-free time and plan low-pressure activities: puzzle, walk, chill music, baking. No pressure to "perform wellness," just 'be'.

Want your child to respect boundaries? Let them see you set and honour your own. ✨

😉Ps Keep Swiping - The last slide has the most important tip for you as a parent!

Save this to try next week—small changes lead to big shifts. 💚

Men, your feelings are valid.

You don’t have to rush your healing.
You don’t have to carry it all alone.

It’s okay to be vulnerable. To pause. To ask for help. To feel deeply.
Your strength is not in how much you hide — it’s in how willing you are to heal.

Our job is to guide them, support them, and help them discover who they truly are—not to make their life about us.

When we give them the space to find their own purpose, we’re empowering them to live fully and authentically.

Let’s focus on nurturing their growth and letting them shine in their own way.🧡

🌿 “I’m fine.”
Two small words — but are they telling the truth? 💚

So many people say “I’m fine” when they’re actually struggling.
This Mental Health Awareness Month we invite you to slow down, check in with those around you, and truly listen beyond the words. 🪷

Because sometimes, what’s unspoken is where the real story lives. 🧠

It’s okay to reach out.
It’s okay to ask for help.
You do not
have to carry it alone.

We see you. We hear you.
We’re here for you. 🌿💚

A friendly reminder to pause, breathe and check in with yourself🤗🌿. It only takes 5 minutes.

Quick tip: Set a reminder on your phone if you need help forming the healthy habit (we all sadly have these attached to our hands all the time so we won't miss the reminder!)

Tips to Turn Your Monday Around!✨️

Many of us feel the weight of the “Monday Blues” after a restful weekend, but with a few mindful practices, you can reclaim your Monday and set a positive tone for the week ahead. Here are three research-backed tips to help you overcome those Monday Blues and boost your mood! 😁✨

1. Practice Gratitude 🙏🏽
Studies show that starting your day by reflecting on three things you’re grateful for can improve your mood and increase happiness. So, take a moment on Monday morning to jot down or mentally list three things that make you feel thankful. This practice helps shift your focus away from dread and onto the positives.

2. Plan Small Joys ☺️🎁
Research has found that anticipating enjoyable activities can enhance your overall well-being. Look ahead in your week and plan a few small things to look forward to—a favorite meal, a walk, or a quick catch-up with a friend. Knowing that there’s joy waiting for you can give your Monday a much-needed boost.

3. Move Your Body 🧘‍♀️
Physical movement, even a short walk, can release endorphins and reduce stress. Moving our bodies more can improve our mood, especially on those tough days. Take a few minutes to stretch or get outside for a brisk walk to shake off the Monday slump. 🏃‍♀️🌞

Make Monday Your Reset Day!
Try these tips to start your week with intention and positivity. Remember, Mondays don’t have to be something we dread. Instead, see them as an opportunity to hit the reset button, set fresh goals, and welcome new possibilities. 🌱✨

💚🌱🌿✨️|Mindful Monday| BELLY BREATHING|

A Calming Bedtime Breathing Exercise for Children 💚🌱🌿✨️

Lately, many of my young clients have been struggling to fall asleep. Between busy minds and nighttime anxieties, bedtime can be tough for kids (and parents!).

Here's a simple, mindful breathing exercise to help: "Belly Breathing." This calming technique helps engage the parasympathetic nervous system—encouraging the body to relax and shift from "fight or flight" to rest. 💤✨

How to guide your child through it:

1. Set the scene: Have them lie comfortably on their back, in a cozy, dim space.

2. Grab a toy: Place a stuffed toy on their belly to help them focus on the rise and fall of their breath.

3. Deep breaths: Gently say, "Breathe in through your nose, feel your belly rise. Now breathe out, and watch your toy go down."

4. Repeat: Guide them for 5-10 cycles of slow, deep breathing, focusing on the calming effect.

5. Stay present: Use soothing phrases like, "Feel your body relaxing," to keep them focused.

🌙 Deep breathing has been shown to lower stress and improve sleep. It's a simple yet powerful tool to help your child unwind and drift off peacefully.

➡️ SWIPE right for 6 SURPRISING REASONS YOUR CHILD MAY be struggling with sleep. 💤🥱
