Approximately 15% of all births are premature, that is 1 in 7 babies. South Africa has one of the highest rates of Premmie Births, awareness is essential to reduce this number.

If you’re not diabetic, you should test every three to six months, depending on your individual risk. If you already have diabetes and your levels are well controlled, testing once a month is usually enough. However, if your diabetes is poorly controlled, you should be testing weekly until your levels stabilise.

Ladies, especially if you’re planning a pregnancy or are already expecting, talk to your gynaecologist about regular blood sugar monitoring to protect both your health and your baby’s.
