We have limited availability for patients who are interested in our obesity clinic.
Please take note that this is not for general endocrinology patients; but rather for our patients looking for alternate treatment options outside of bariatric surgery.

Prof Tess wanted us to post that she is doing well. Petr is recovering at home. She wanted us to share her “miracle dog”, Mier, who is recovering as if nothing happened. She sustained three bullet wounds, but you would never even guess.
Thanks to Dr Johann Rossouw at Monument Park Veterinary Clinic for his prompt help early in the morning. The picture of her “smiling” is when she got back home after her stay at the vet.

Johann Weich:

Prof Tess remains in hosital with further surgery required tomorrow. Petr will be discharged today. Mienkie has been incredibly strong. Our hearts are shattered and no doubt Prof Tess and her family will be coveted in support, care and love.
We will not be posting the media reports here, but it is available.

MEDIA STATEMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date: 23 November 2024

OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING ARMED ATTACK AT PROFESSOR TESS' RESIDENCE

We wish to address the recent armed attack at Professor Tess' residence and clarify several misconceptions that have been circulating in various media channels.

On 23 November, armed assailants gained access to Professor Tess' property. During this incident, Professor Tess and her son were confronted by the perpetrators and sustained bullet wounds. Both victims are currently receiving medical treatment and are in stable condition.

Contrary to earlier reports, Professor Tess' daughter was safely inside the residence behind the security system during the entire incident and was not walking dogs as previously reported. The family's giant schnauzer played a crucial role in deterring the attackers from the daughter, and the daughter remained unharmed throughout the incident.

We request that media channels and groups report accurately on this matter and respect the family's privacy during this challenging time. Updates on Professor Tess and her son's recovery will be provided through official channels as appropriate.

An attempted homicide investigation is ongoing by the SAPS.
