Today is World Obesity Day, a reminder to rethink how we talk about weight.
Weight gain is often framed as simply “calories in vs calories out,” but in reality it is influenced by many factors which include hormones, sleep, stress, genetics, medications, underlying health conditions and how metabolism adapts over time.
For some people, these systems can become dysregulated, making weight loss and weight maintenance far more challenging than many realise.
