September marks our 1 Year Anniversary since we moved to our new premises and transitioned as GROW Occupational Therapy!

During this year we have been truly blessed and our practice name have been our inspiration.

We chose the word GROW because it truly captures what we envision for every child, parent, caregiver and teacher that embarks on an OT journey with us.

Our heart is that you will GROW just as much as we grow as therapists when we get the chance to do what we love!

May we continue to get the opportunity to spread love, joy and kindness and may we get the chance to see your child GROW and bloom.

MEET Ané Lombard

Originally from Bloemfontein, she moved to Tzaneen after completing her studies. She is a loving mother of two beautiful girls and happily married.

She has been working in Pediatrics for almost 10 years and is especially passionate about helping kids with emotional difficulties / challenges, using her skills as an Occupational Therapist, empowering children as well as parents.

Ané beskryf haarself as ‘n lysiemaker, spasiehouer, multitasker en ook al die goed wat 'n werkende-mamma beskryf soos versorger, kosblikpakker, taxibestuurder, sussie, drukkiedeler, dogter, sjef, vriendin, eina-soener en vrou. Ek is vriendeliker as wat ek soms lyk en gewoonlik honger, so as ek kwaai frons, voer my net ietsie!

MEET Zanel Jooste

She grew up in Tzaneen and found her way back to this beautiful valley, after completing her studies. She is a lovely mother of three beautiful children and happily married.

She has a special love for children and has been working in Pediatrics for almost 10 years. Zanel is passionate about helping children with their emotional, physical and social needs, as well as supporting them through their journey of growing up.

Zanel beskryf haarself as ‘n lysiemaker, vryedenker, avontuur sleper en multi-tasker. Ek is ook ‘n besige mamma wat ‘n kosblikpakker, pleisterplakker, drukkiedeler, storie verteller en liedjiesinger behels. Ek kom sosiaal voor, maar vind my meeste genot in die stille natuur met ‘n boek.

This was written so beautifully! And this is why I love my job SO much, because it aims to empower parents to change stigma’s around children being different, households that look different than what society regards as the norm and to support parents when they feel overwhelmed by situations out of their control!

Let’s change our thoughts, our future and our hearts to be kind, loving and supportive so that our kids learn to love a world that looks different.

These Learning blocks offer so many variety for learning. I use them in the practice and love that they can by used for different learning skills. Playing the memory game is everyone’s favourite, but it is also great for teaching words, writing sentences and doing maths. Learning should be fun and versatile!

Parents often ask me,
“what would you like to achieve with therapy”,
and my answer always remain the same,

I would like to teach your child CONFIDENCE!! If I can encourage a child to be confident in their own self and help them believe that their personality and their unique characteristics bring something very significant to the world, then I believe they will be able to conquer any challenge thrown their way!!

We need to invest everything in our children that we think the future world needs, for it is our children who will be that world one day!
