The Infection Prevention and Control team at Uitenhage Provincial Hospital held a meeting to recognize the outstanding efforts of our cleaning staff. As part of our ongoing Six Priorities Project, we acknowledged the best clean wards in the hospital.

*Award Winners:*

- 1st Place: Ward 4
- 2nd Place: Ward 3A
- 3rd Place: Ward 5

The winning wards demonstrated exceptional cleanliness and adherence to infection control protocols, setting a high standard for the rest of the hospital.

This initiative aims to promote a culture of cleanliness and safety, ultimately improving patient outcomes. We commend our cleaning staff for their hard work and dedication to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

The Six Priorities Project continues to drive quality improvement efforts, and we're proud of the progress made so far.
We shall:
- Continue to monitor and evaluate cleanliness standards
- Provide ongoing training and support to cleaning staff
- Sustain a culture of cleanliness and safety throughout the hospital

Uitenhage Provincial Hospital(UPH) is proud to announce its participation in the Tidy UPH project.This initiative aims to beautify and maintain the hospital grounds,promoting a clean and healthy environment for patients,staff and visitors.
The project encompasses a range of activities,including:
Tree cutting and pruning
Rubbish removal
Waste separation
Shrub Royal and landscaping
Planting flowers and greenery
Leaf removal and grounds maintenance
Hope for the Future NPO has joined and commit to support the hospital in creating a welcoming and well maintained facility that reflects the hospital' commitment to providing quality care and service to the community.

Mr Mbewu,CEO, had a pleasure of engaging with Ms Fidelia Jullies Manager at AVBOB.Fifi,as she is affectionately known visited the hospital to discuss arrangements for providing financial education and advice to our staff.What was particularly heartwarming was her evident passion for the hospital.Her eagerness to contribute to hospital's success was palpable.She is captured here together with CEO highlighting a potential for a fruitful partnership.
