Sitting in the sun admiring these beautiful roses. Every year on the anniversary of our miscarriage, we buy yellow roses. We honour and remember our baby Faith (as we named her) - even though her little soul was with us for such a short time.
I am always grateful to her for the way she shifted my perspective on parenthood. I developed a much deeper appreciation for being a mother, which has shaped many of my life decisions.
It can help to find purpose in our pain. Grief experiences can shape us in profound ways.
If you’re struggling, I strongly recommend David Kessler’s book, “Finding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief”. Kessler introduces us to the concept of finding meaning in our grief, suggesting that while we may never get over a loss, we can find ways to move forward with it.
In seeking meaning, we honor our loved ones by integrating their legacy into our lives.
Let’s embrace our grief, share our stories, and find the meaning that allows us to move forward with love and purpose. 💛💛💛
