Happy Birthday to us! On the 1st of December, M.E.G – The Skin and Body Experts – celebrated 20 years. What a journey it has been.
In an industry often seen as a luxury, we set out to become a meaningful part of your skin and body wellness, and that purpose has guided us every step of the way. My heart is full when I look at how far we’ve come.
My team and I have stayed committed to real knowledge, thoughtful care, reliable technology, and ingredients that truly support skin health and graceful aging. We’ve never chased trends. We’ve focused on what works, what lasts, and what honors you. Thank you for trusting us with your skin, your healing, and your stories.

Skin, skin, skin! ✨
Here’s a story that will make anyone think twice…
For the longest time, my skin was fine — until I tried a “brightening cream” I saw on TikTok. At first, the compliments came in and I thought I had found the magic solution. But soon after, dark patches appeared overnight, my skin became rough, damaged, and my confidence disappeared. I spent thousands trying to fix it, but nothing worked. I didn’t want to leave the house without a mask.
One day, I decided to take a chance and book a treatment at M.E.G Skin Specialists. From the moment I walked in, the kindness and professionalism of the staff made me feel hopeful. Then I met Shana — someone who truly cared about healing my skin, not just treating the symptoms. She explained everything with patience and reminded me, “Your skin is a living organ — give it time.”
With consistent treatments and using Environ products my skin began to change. Slowly but surely, the dark patches faded, my texture improved, and my confidence returned. Today, I go out without makeup or a mask — something I never thought possible.

Our Key focus back then was Men and all things related to grooming. Helping men feel free of stress and tension, whilst looking the part, so that they could tackle their very busy lives.
7 Years later we moved from the basement of East Coast Radio house, into the full sunshine of Durban , in a retail space overlooking the Chris Saunders Park.
This Year we celebrate 14 years in existence. The business does not look quite the same as before as we now trade as M.E.G The Skin & Body Experts.
70% of our clientele are still men, but the remainder are their wives and children.
This is no ordinary skin and body center, we focus on 3 niche areas of speciality:
Sports massage and injuries
Anti Ageing Skin concerns, Problematic Acne disorders and Pigmentation
Grooming , including hair removal (permanent or Temporary) , Hand and foot Solutions including Manicures and Pedicures.
We believe in “local is lekker” by stocking purely South African Product Houses only available through the professional Skin expert on Prescription like Optiphi and Environ.
We believe in high impact treatments based on thorough consultation and expert knowledge resulting in a happy , radiant skins and healthy bodies!
