Very few people are unaware of what they should and shouldn’t eat. Why then we do make poor food choices?
In a world that makes ultra processed dopamine hitting, high calorie foods almost impossible to avoid, how do we bring more mindfulness to what we eat? Obesity is the fastest rising health issue in our lifetimes and I believe we can help ourselves and our children to learn the tools to eat less mindlessly too.
Two years ago, while in the middle of my mindfulness teacher training, I learnt about how glucose metabolism works and lost 15 kgs.
A few months ago, a Doctor friend said to me “you lost that weight and have kept it off not just because of understanding glucose. You did it because you were studying mindfulness at the same time.”
And the more I think about it, the more correct I think she is.
So if this interests you at all, here is a webinar where I will share some of the tips and tricks I’ve learnt when it comes to being more mindful about food.
You will need:
⭐️A Quiet space and a zoom connection
⭐️Two raisins
⭐️Your most decadent “treat”
If you can be hungry-ish for the session, that would be great. But if you need to eat before to be comfortable, you can do so 🙂
Will there be a recording? There will be a recording available afterwards of just the mindfulness practices. As those of you who have done mindfulness sessions in the past with me before already know, the magic in these sessions is in the sharing within the group.
In the live workshop we will break into smaller groups on zoom to share how the experience has been. I don’t think it’s fair or ethical to record and share people sharing vulnerably, so the participants sharing won’t be on the recording.
I would love to see you on Wednesday the 13th November at 7pm on Zoom. I will send out an email with the zoom link on the day.
