Our condolences To the family of Graham Cloete.The man the lab guru.(xoptica) He has been pivotal in my practice.

He was a walking talking genius in his field. I met Graham as a green optom. He was the manager at the genop lab and introduced me to german precision lenses, rhodenstock. He was instrumental in my journey of building up knowledge not just about the. " Is 1 or 2" better, but the technical side of prescribing the correct lense for a set of prescriptions .
He later became the zeis lab manager and eventually started his own lab.

Tx oom G for the amazing guidance u gave. Im going to mis your exceptional chats and approach to sort those gremlin issues, I had with my patients spectacles.
tx for being there for me during the last 26 years...❤❤ U never took advantage of my buss, but always charged me less or let things slip never appearing on my statements.

Fun stuff how. Dominant eye test.

Extend your arms in front of you and create a triangular opening between your thumbs and pointer fingers by placing them together.With both of your eyes open, center this triangle on a distant object, like a clock or picture frame.Close your left eye.If the object stays centered when your left eye is closed, then your right eye (the eye that is open) is your dominant eye. If the object is no longer framed by the triangular opening, your left eye is your dominant eye.

Here is another simple way to find your dominant eye:

Keep both eyes open and focused on a distant object, then extend your arm out and point with your index finger or thumb at the object.Alternately close one eye at a timeThe eye that keeps your finger directly in front of the object while the other eye is closed is your dominant eye.

All happy smiles as we walked into collin wells gallery to hve a few army memorabilia framed for a friend aka Hannes Smith
HE Collin and team have been sorting our frames since 1998.
All happy as we walked into his new spot to be greeted by a face we were not familiar with.
Half uncertain. ? Is collin still sleeping. " joking. new face " i assume".
Mmn so is he in. New face. No I'm the new owner. Shock not what we expected. He moved back to the UK 3 years ago. I bought the buss.
Not what we wanted to hear.

As things progressed with our new frame the more we wanted to leave. Not the same.
Dear collin. U never forced yourself / ideas off on to us. U listened. Gave suttle hints although our ideas was way out. " way out ideas" but not difficult cutomers etc. We new what we wanted.

U never let us feel we dont know. U silently listened to our way out ideas and as we fought among ourselves u unnoticeable added frames or ideas without us noticing.
U enhanced our ideas. Bettered it with practical solutions. U embraced our passion for our memories to ensure it gets framed in a way that warmed our hearts.

It has been more than 2 centuries of doing buss with your team.
Today we missed your love for capturing and capitulising our memories into a work of art which one can display for ever which was missing in todays encounter.
Life has moved on and we are still living our passionate dream.
Today we hve realised3 that we hve grown old.
Lets c what will aspire with the new owner.
May u enjoy your retirement. We may c u soon.
Tx for your passion and enbracing our ideas for our buss framing.
