I’ve been where many of my patients are: stressed, burnt out, and running on empty just to keep up with society’s “badge of honour” for being busy.
But the truth is — my mind and soul aren’t built for that life… and neither is yours. Nobody’s is.
One day it hit me: I needed stillness, slowness, grounding. 🌱 It was (and still is) a challenge to go against everything I’d been taught, to actually rest and do things that nourish me. But it’s the best daily work I’ve ever committed to.
This is something I ask my patients going through burnout:
💭 What is ONE thing you’ve always wanted to do that’s…
A) just for you (not work, parenting, or relationships)
B) something you’ve longed for but never made time for
C) something that makes you say, “this is mine”
And then — DO IT. Carve out the time. Protect it. Because your mental well-being and vital force are not luxuries… they’re the foundations of your happiness, your success, and your ability to show up in every part of your life.
