Standout is a non-profit talent agency representing unique people. Falling ‘uniquely’ into this category, are Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). To standout is what makes us special. Standout gives the often marginalized and forgotten an opportunity to enter the media and entertainment industry. We represent actors, voice-over artists and presenters; inviting casting directors, television producers, film producers, online content producers, TVC producers and theatre producers to cast our unique talent – truly making them part of an inclusive society. Standout is also a friend to brands, media owners, producers and agencies who want to get into the space. We help make your experience seamless – yet real. According to the South African Human Rights Commission, it is estimated that persons with disabilities are the largest minority group in the world. In South Africa, PWDs experience high levels of illiteracy and unemployment with multiple barriers standing in the way of full participation in the labour market and society. Our talent advocates for increasing the visibility of PWDs in everyday life – at work, at home and importantly, through our media. Standout has offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
