🥉 We’re proud to share… we placed 3rd in the Best of Durban Readers' Choice Awards!

🌟 We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised — and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support from our donors, volunteers, staff, and customers.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for walking this journey with us, for believing in our mission, and for helping us care for others when they need it most.

Thank you for standing by us, believing in what we do, and making a difference every single day.

We couldn’t do it without you. 💙

Our next BIG THANK YOU goes to Farmers Produce Durban, located at 249 Sparks Road, and to Mervin for graciously donating snacks and cold drinks for the Khan family to enjoy during their special day at uShaka Marine World.

This unforgettable outing was especially meaningful for the family of four, who recently suffered the heartbreaking loss of their beloved wife and mother to cancer.

Your generosity brought comfort and joy during a difficult time — and for that, we are truly grateful. 💛

As part of our initiative, Busisiwe Zulu – a blind diabetic and devoted grandmother – enjoyed a much-needed outing accompanied by Highway Hospice's Sr Flo.

Thanks to the generous support of Coyote Canyon Spur Steak Ranch at Saxony Westwood Mall, Busisiwe was treated to a special lunch, giving her a rare moment of respite from her daily responsibilities as the sole caregiver for her grandchildren.

The joy on her face said it all – sometimes, a small act of kindness can make someone feel truly seen and appreciated.

In Sr Flo's words, "That's how we celebrate Mandela day at Spur with Mam Busisiwe Zulu"

Thank you, Coyote Canyon Spur Steak Ranch, for making her feel so special. 💛

This is 13-year-old Hannah, one of Sr Jane’s young patients, pictured here with her devoted mom, Sandra. Hannah was diagnosed with brain cancer at the tender age of 9, and her strength and spirit continue to inspire us all.

Thanks to the compassion and generosity of Safeera at Driftwood Spa, mother and daughter were treated to a truly special experience. The soothing massage was so calming that Hannah drifted off to sleep - a sign of just how relaxed and at peace she felt.

This beautiful outing was made even more meaningful as it coincided with Hannah’s 13th birthday, celebrated the day after Nelson Mandela Day - a poignant reminder of the power of kindness and love in action. 💛

When our patient, Luthpia, tragically lost her life to cancer, she left behind her husband and three young children. Her 11-year-old daughter had taken on the role of primary caregiver, selflessly tending to her mother’s needs — from bathing and dressing to feeding and helping with changes.

The Khan family was generously blessed with full access tickets to uShaka Marine World, kindly facilitated by Lynne Crouch. Their day out was made even more special with a feast of delicious food, refreshments and snacks, generously donated by Mohamed from Dawood Megastore KZN at Saxony Westwood, and Mervin from Farmers Produce Durban on Sparks Road.

Last but not least, thank you to Sister Lorraine for your unwavering care and compassion as you treated your patient with dignity and love.
