My why...
As a trainer there is nothing more satisfying than your client reaching his or her goal.
As a non-professional athlete, competing in various sports: Karate was/is my first love when it comes to sport, second in line is swimming. I run to get the cardio up, as a swimming pool is not always available. The triathlon thing came from my friends, “hey you swim pretty well, you run.... here is a bike.... you go do triathlon”
I studied Sport Science, as I love pushing the limits of the body; it is the most wonderful instrument that we have and can do amazing thing.
A lot depends on our mind in reaching our goals, but a good percentage comes from what you put in your body, good fuel equals good results. Another factor is exercise, but I learned the hard way, exercise alone does not always give us all the results that you desire. Yes, in karate it is repetition after repetition, training and practicing over and over; but if you are not mentally and physically in the right place on the day you ask more of your body, do not expect it to perform at its peak.
