📢 Esophageal Cancer Awareness in South Africa 🇿🇦

Esophageal cancer is one of the most common and deadliest cancers in South Africa, particularly affecting rural communities in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and other high-risk areas. Many cases are diagnosed late due to a lack of awareness and limited access to healthcare.

🔍 Know the Risk Factors:
✅ Smoking & excessive alcohol consumption
✅ Poor diet (low in fruits & vegetables)
✅ Chronic acid reflux (GERD)
✅ Hot beverages & food (scalding temperatures can damage the esophagus)
