Lesson 106: "Hear one Voice today." That does seem to echo in my mind. Unbeknown to me this was truly what I have learned in ACIM regarding my self and my brothers. For when I am still and listen for the truth, I come to my brothers from a better place. I was the master of knee jerk reactions, successful at vomiting the first words that came to mind, most often they were not helpful as almost always they came from a screeching ego. Now I pause, I ask within, guidance has become crucial in my life and I am getting better at asking. Not to say I hear all the time. What I can say is I don't just find clues to what I hear in a physical sound, but I focus on being plugged into the human fabric, anything that does not seem to be in 'normal' sequence I pay attention to. And I try control NOTHING. My answer I got to what does it mean to give and receive was, "it is like breathing, breathe in, breathe out, the air you breathe might change but without it you cannot go", as I looked at that I was intrigued by 'go' usually it would be 'live' right? But go is an action of movement, it seems as giving and receiving are vital to my journey onwards, again a natural state like love that is required for progress. And breathing is natural, we don't THINK about it, we just do it, we don't wonder if I suck this in am I going to be able to let it out again... And this ties into me being a messenger for God, as in this little paragraph hopefully what I have shared makes sense to someone out there, maybe it unlocks many doors. Much can be said about that sentance received and I will dwell on it for the next hour, until the next 5min that is.
