In Training 📚- Strengthening HIV Services through Capacity Building

Community Health Care Workers (CHWs) and HTS Counselors in the Dawid Kruiper Sub-District are currently participating in a 3-day HAST Refresher Training, aimed at enhancing their knowledge and skills in the delivery of comprehensive HIV services.

The training covers key focus areas including:
• HIV identification & linkage to care
• Differentiated models of care
• Comprehensive health education
• Patient tracing & re-engagement
• HIV testing protocols
• Integrated patient-centred care
• Optimisation of clinic visit schedules

By strengthening the capacity of CHWs and HTS Counselors, this refresher training is expected to improve case identification, facilitate better linkage and retention in care, and ultimately enhance the quality of patient support services across the sub-district.
