It takes a special kind of passion and dedication to turn a dream into reality. Back in 2008, having recently become a Medical Officer in an amazingly effective government Ophthalmology Department at Mankweng in the Limpopo Province, Dr. Lourens Coetzee’s dream started to take shape. He envisaged an Ophthalmology practice that encompasses compassion, humanity, and empathy. After many years of trai

ning, hard work, and aspiration the Envision family officially became a reality on 1 December 2015. He had been a colleague of Dr. Lourens Coetzee at Mankweng so was familiar with the intention and ethos of Envision well before it came to be. In 2020, Dr. Thariq Bagus also joined the Envision family. Our eye care facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment for optimal diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of eye disease. We know that despite astonishing advances in the science of medicine, the interpersonal encounter between patient and physician remains a cornerstone of medical care. Considerable research has explored various aspects of this relationship, including physician and patient communication and what physicians find meaningful in their work. These interpersonal aspects of healing are called the art of medicine and drive our passion for the healing arts. We are a young company with big ideas and aspirations and only time can help us live up to our dreams. Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. "Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."

Our Story

Although we did not know what to call it yet, Envision had been a dream for what seems to be a lifetime. The dream of an Ophthalmology practice with compassion, humanity and empathy already started in 2008 when Dr Lourens Coetzee became a Medical Officer in an amazingly effective government Ophthalmology Department in Mankweng in the Limpopo Province. After many years of training, hard work and aspiration the Envision family finally became a reality on 1 December 2015. In 2019 he was joined by Dr Philip Phatudi who had worked with Lourens at Mankweng when the dream of Envision was born. We believe that to deliver the best service we need the latest technology. The Vanderbijlpark consulting rooms and Laser suite is Located at 14 Hertz Boulevard, Vanderbijlpark, just behind Cormed hospital the highly visible Envision Centre for Sight provides the perfect location for an ophthalmology practice. The practice is set up with state of the art equipment for diagnosing, evaluating and treating eye disease combined with revolutionary software to complement these instruments. Our procedure room is perfect for all smaller procedures that do not require a hospital visit. The complete laser suite is equipped with 2 lasers: a femtosecond laser and an excimer laser.
