Magda Jansen van Rensburg dietitians is an established dietetic practice situated in Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark. The practice originated in October 2008 and has since grown to a well-known practice trusted by many medical practitioners and patients in the Vaal Area.
All our dietitians are registered with the HPCSA (Health Professional Counsel of South Africa) and are members of ADSA (Association for Dietetics in South Africa). We are also accredited CDE (Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology) providers.
Our aim is to treat each of our patients as an individual and provide scientifically sound nutritional education. We strive to make healthy diet part of your lifestyle.
Our team consists of three dietitians. Our main areas of interest include nutritional management of lifestyle diseases (including overweight, diabetes and heart disease), post-operative nutrition, paediatric nutrition and sports nutrition.
We can assist you in any of the diagnoses listed under “What do we offer”

8-WEEK WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM:
Commit to 8 consultations with your dietitian. You can book your consultations for 8 consecutive weeks or spread them out as needed.

DISCOVERY VITALITY NUTRITION ASSESSMENTS
As of January 2017 there is no longer a “Vitality Nutrition Network”, however Discovery Vitality members can earn 1000 Vitality points for a consultation with any dietitian registered with the HPCSA.
The CDE-OPTIFAST Weight Loss Programme
The CDE-OPTIFAST® Weight Loss Programme is based on a very low calorie diet (VLCD), which provides roughly 800 kcal of energy per day for the first 8 weeks. This is less than half the calorie content of a conventional weight loss diet. The Programme has shown to significantly reduce body weight by roughly 1-2.5 kg per week
Studies proof that corporate wellness programs can have a positive effect on employee’s health and wellbeing. Healthier employees will lead to decreased risk for the development of lifestyle-related diseases and also increased productivity.
