We as Midwives Exclusive take the utmost care in ensuring that you and your little one gets all the care you need, from the very first weeks of pregnancy until a couple of weeks after your little one is born. We have a lovely unique practice of 4 passionate midwives who are focussed on natural birth and making birth a more meaningful positive experience.

Matrescence is a term that was coined in the 1970s by anthropologist Dana Raphael. The term is used to describe the transitions a woman goes through in her journey to motherhood. These changes span from pre-conception through to the post-partum period and include the physical, hormonal, emotional, social and spiritual changes a woman experiences as she reshapes her identity and evolves into a mother.
Matrescence describes the juxtaposition of motherhood being indescribably joyful whilst equally overwhelming. It refers to a healthy and demanding change as a phase in a woman's life which includes all aspects of easy and difficult, good and bad.
