Hypertension : The Silent Killer

🩸Hypertension is when the pressure in your blood vessels is higher than normal - 140/90 or higher

🩸Approximately 46% of adults with high blood pressure are not aware that they have the condition

🩸Common symptoms include headaches, blurred vision, dizziness and chest pain. Some may not have any symptoms.

*Hypertension is a major cause of premature death worldwide.*

If you are 40 years old or older, or if you have any risk factors - visit your local GP to screen for hypertension

What is lupus?

🟣 It is an autoimmune disease - meaning that your immune system (which usually helps you to fight infections), attacks healthy tissue instead.

🟣 Lupus can affect many parts of the body, causing widespread pain and inflammation.

🟣 Common symptoms include joint pain, fatigue and a characteristic butterfly rash.
