Who are we?
LESIREE COETZEE qualified as an optometrist in 1992 at the former Rand Afrikaans University, now known as University of Johannesburg with a B Optom degree. In May 1996 L Coetzee Optometrist was established. Lesiree has always been passionate about Optometry and diversified her skills by continually doing various postgraduate courses. She obtained the Certificate of Advanced study in Ocular Diagnostics and and Pharmacology as well as Advanced Contact Lenses (Boston) In 2012 she studied Diabetes Primary Ocular Care (Boston). She also qualified as Dyslexia specialist (Die Rooi Appel, SA) and did various pediatric (basic and advanced) and binocular vision courses from the Pediatric Training Academy (SA). Currently she is studying the Masters degree in Optometry at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein and is doing research in dry eye disease and treatment.
GENE DIPPENAAR , (accounts) has been involved in Optometry for 30+ years and has managed an optometric practice owned by her late husband, Mr Herman Dippenaar in Vryburg. After her husband passed away she joined our team and is responsible for orders and accounts. She is a guru in frame choice and styling. She also has extensive knowledge of lens types and can assist in choosing not only the right frame, but also the best lens suited to your needs.
RUTA DITHEBE , frame repairs / frame selection, has been with our practice for 25 years and has extensive experience in all kinds of frame repairs, transfers, adjustments as well as choosing the right frame .
GILBERT ASVOEL, (reception), has been with our practice for 2 years and has a passion for optometry. He will gladly assist you at reception as well as handling all the administrative details with a smile.
