Our Story

A Pure Water Striders, Proudly South African Initiative to bring Clinical Technologists, Doctors, Professors, Social & Religious Worker, along with Dialysis Patients together in Support of each other with Q&A. Endorsing the Fight Against Kidney Disease through Research, Awareness, Effective Treatments & Healthy Lifestyle. Welcome & Thank You guys for your comments! Dialysis Talk SA has a page and a membership group. Should one of our people wish to just like or following, we recommend and revert to our page https://www.facebook.com/dialysistalksa/ The rights to membership on our group https://www.facebook.com/groups/136532910153864 are totally reserved for reasons of privacy as this is a closed group and membership requests are subject and accompanied by an application questionnaire. We realize that these matters are confidential and often not easy to talk about..... BUT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX WITHOUT! This organization and any of its affiliates are following publications and provide support, education or awareness for their own specifications. Perhaps they are patients, family members of patients, transplant donors or recipients, nurses, clinical technologists, Nephrologisits, unit owners or just down right good Samaritans! Life's everyday routine does take its toll as we all "are so busy", being a family man, father of a daughter, two young boys, husband to a driven woman, director of a company and being a first born son myself keeps me on my toes as well. However I decided a year ago that I wanted to live what I preached, without any blurred lines of sensationalism of grandeur.... but just be... all the great things that I would expect from my boys as they mature. That is the vision for this group and I have created the bases for a platform that brings community together through humanitarian aids, in fighting for a cause and finding real world solutions to this serial killer CKD. Posting and publishing, everyday researching, learning and calling to action sponsorship....... Why? Because for me making a living and a way of life are totally different concepts. My life's events go hand in hand with my humanity & I often endure short comings, but what a Utopian experience it is to really have been able to make an ultimate difference in the smallest possible way...... I am no saint but a sinner just like everyone else and perhaps I will even admit that some absolution is what I get from doing a good deed. Providing a platform for patients to correspond with each other while undergoing treatments, make suggestions on Improvements, Commendations, Compliments or Complaints. Also setting the stage for clinics, units & hospitals to send Invitations to upcoming events and promotions or employment opportunities. We do not name or shame person / entity / institutions / any other and expect our members to uphold these values and code of conduct. Any infringement of the SA LAWS pertaining to medical ethics, civil legislation or any other, could be prosecuted individually and solely liable for such acts. We DO NOT SELL or promote any products / services. This group's Mission is to Create a Real-Time application for community and clinical support for the specific daily challenges that a dialysis patient or clinical practitioner could / may / have faced. Such issue's conclusions could provided a quick solution for another nurse to provide advanced kidney care to a patient. Dialysis Talk SA was founded for the primary reason of creating a TOTALLY FREE, WORKING MODEL to provide relief to the over 8,000,000 people living in South Africa with kidney disease and renal failure. This means that the real magic will only happen, when more of our medical professionals become interactive. Why should you give your valuable advice as it cost a fortune to get a degree? I personally can't put a price tag on your suggestions as it becomes truly priceless when given selflessly or even in the pursuit of glory. Who knows what these actions may lead to, but if there is one thing that all the "masters of the universe" knew unanimously, it was that the laws of nature are not a myth..... Maybe there was an unrecognized error or indicator signal on the dialysis machine or reverse osmosis machine has stopped or issues with conductivity perhaps. Maybe a patient is displaying some good or not so good reactions or side effects of treatment that our member could offer assistance or warning on, in the best interests of patient safety. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: Dialysis Support & Talk SA, is not a medical entity and is not providing medical advice.
