You know that feeling when it feels like you’ve been here before, like you’re repeating the same lessons over and over again…
It’s not quite the fact that you are doing the same thing over and over without ever learning or growing.

The psyche cirlces. Think of it as a spiral. We go around the spiral, circling our way upwards, towards our fullest potential.
This is why it can feel like we’re repeating the same old stories - we’re going around this circle, but remember each time we go around we’re a bit higher in this spiral - it is not the same person, nor the same awareness going past it again.

Carl Jung introduced this concept as circumambulation.

Last Sunday, after our Sound Bath, no one wanted to leave.

They just stayed and stayed. Still. Wrapped in their own quiet bubble, and honestly? I would have left them there with a blankie and let them. So peaceful 🥰

An hour of sound bowls, calming breathwork and Yoga Nidra can have that effect on a person.

If that kind of stillness and rest sounds like exactly what you need right now, come join me this Sunday.

Last month’s partner workshop at was all about creating a space for people to connect through physical touch in a playful and supportive way. We had people people of all levels, even some who has never practiced yoga before. After all, this is not ‘serious’ yoga, it’s all about having fun.

I’ll be hosting one more event like this for this year…

Life is serious. Let’s have fun and make some shapes!

Bring a friend (or meet one here!) and laugh, play, and explore together on the mat. This partner yoga workshop is about trust, connection, and the simple joy of being present. We’ll play with some partner yoga poses and also explore some partner assisted stretches.

In this playful style of yoga it is all about connecting — to yourself, to others, to the moment.

Sometimes the deepest practice is simply having fun… together.

Let yourself be moved by all the goodness that surrounds you…

Our brain is naturally wired towards a negativity bias - which means, we are wired to see the negative things, to focus more on what’s wrong than what’s right.

It serves our survival - to be able to spot potential threats.
Our ancestors didn’t need to remember every sunset — they needed to remember which berries made them sick, where the snake was, or who betrayed their trust.

But, we are not dying all the time….
When we understand this is just how the mind works, we can begin to gently rewire it — to also see what is working, what is beautiful, what is true.

PS. Later in July I’ll be hosting a live webinar exploring the landscape of the mind through a yogic lens, how our brain’s negativity bias shapes your perception, habits, and decisions, why you keep falling into the same loops — and how to gently interrupt them and give you a simple map for responding rather than reacting. Sounds interesting?

Here’s the details:
Where is my mind? Webinar
Wed, 23 Jul 5pm - 6.30pm - you’ll have access to the recording for a week after the session.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak on mindfulness at Wellness Day.

I always return to this: yoga is so much more than movement. It’s a profound system for understanding the self.

We explored the layers of the mind as outlined in yogic philosophy—and how becoming aware of our mental patterns can create space for change. Through movement and breathwork, we shift our state. We regulate the nervous system.

And in doing so, we begin to choose our responses rather than be ruled by reactivity. When we shift our state, we change our story.

As Viktor Frankl reminds us:
“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

PS: I’ll be offering an online talk soon on this topic for those wanting to explore the layers of the mind and nervous system regulation through the lens of yoga. Keep an eye out.
