🐣🌸 Easter Fun at Brook Meadows House🌸🐣

We’ve had a truly egg-cellent time celebrating Easter here at Brook Meadows House in Southend-on-Sea! 🐰💐

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful Easter Bonnet Parade, showing off some fantastic homemade creations full of colour, flowers and creativity 🎩🌷. The smiles only got bigger when the Easter Bunny paid us a special visit, spreading joy and plenty of Easter cheer 🐇✨.

The celebrations continued with a range of Easter games, laughter, and lovely moments shared together, making it a day to remember for everyone involved 💛

On Wednesday 25th March Del and Peter were able to go and watch Southend United Football Club play Woking. It was a 1-1 draw at Roots Hall with a bit of a chill in the air too!

Elvis was back in the building at Brook Meadows House on Saturday 14th March bringing the Viva Las Vegas vibes. Our residents enjoyed a great afternoon of classic Elvis songs from Hound Dog to Suspicious Minds.

Norma and Sue took Pauline and Shirley over to Priory Park last week. They enjoyed being wrapped up warm looking at the daffodils and primroses.
Their afternoon out was finished off with coffee and biscuits in the café.

Happy Employee Appreciation Day! 🎉

Today we had the pleasure of visiting staff across all of our services to personally say thank you for everything they do. We wanted to recognise not only their contribution to the company, but more importantly the care, compassion and support they provide to our customers every single day.

As a small token of our appreciation, each member of staff received a water bottle, or coffee cup, a pen and a thank you card, along with a voucher for coffee and cake from our in-house café ☕🍰

Our staff are incredibly valued, and we recognise how important it is to have such caring, dedicated and loyal people supporting our services. Taking the time to say thank you and give recognition, even with a small gift, is one of the ways we wish to show how much their hard work means to us.

To all of our amazing staff: thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you! 💙

This week we celebrated Edna's 99th birthday!!
Edna had a lovely day and enjoyed receiving flowers and cards from her friends and family.

The chocolate birthday cake looks absolutely delicious. Edna certainly had a wonderful time celebrating and eating lots of cake too!

What a Flippin’ Fantastic Pancake Day
Our residents took part in a Fun-filled Pancake Day celebration complete with our very own pancake obstacle course.
From flipping pancakes to weaving through challenges, the smiles, laughter, and friendly competition made the day one to remember.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, cheered on, and helped make today so special.
Our residents proved that you're never too old to flip a pancake or tackle an obstacle course!

The Winter Olympics have officially arrived at Brook Meadows House
Our residents spent a fantastic afternoon taking part in a range of fun Olympic‑themed games, all brilliantly organised by our wonderful Activities Coordinators, Norma and Sue.

We’d also like to send a huge congratulations to Matt Weston, who made history by winning gold in the men’s skeleton at the Milan‑Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, setting track records in all four runs and securing Team GB’s first medal of the Games.

What a great week for sporting spirit, both in our home and on the world stage!
