Yoga-Kidz

Yoga-Kidz Yoga-Kidz is based on improving body strength and mind focus through explorative and imaginative play,achieved through a sequence of yoga poses. Ages 3- 17

Yoga-Kidz lesson plan focus is based on:

Developing Core strength, improving muscle tone and flexibility (this will compliment OT therapy);

The effects of breathing exercises: cooling, calming and energizing (assisting children with anxiety as well as how to control their emotions);

Sensory Development;

Storytelling;

Learning non-competiveness and encouraging a win-win attitude;

Teaching children to become aware of their bodies;

Exploring different cultures, languages, foods and music from different countries through “imaginative play”;

Using different educational materials i.e. using poses to explore the alphabet, creating affirmations, playing name games, using mathematical concepts to create numerical awareness and counting while practicing poses;

Creative development through art and colouring and

Having FUN;

Please note that there is no Religious Affiliations during these classes.
