Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal supports and lobbies for KZN construction companies.

The Association exists to represent the interests of members, as well as to provide them with specialist support services. The membership comprises some 600 enterprises involved in the building industry and related activities in the province of KwaZulu Natal. The organisation has been in existence for over 100 years and is recognised and respected by a wide range of role players in the constructio

n industry and beyond. The Association provides a range of services to members including training, contractual and legal assistance, occupational health and safety consulting, employee benefits schemes, member discounts and a lot more. In order to deliver on the mandate of providing benefits to members, the Associations is involved in a range of commercial activities which complement the operations of members. Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal also offers a range of services to the public, including the find-a-builder and find-a-supplier online directories, access to useful information and assistance with dispute resolution. The Association continually strives for excellence in both the general association activities as well as the products and services offered by the commercial divisions.

Representation at adjudications and arbitrations in construction contract disputes,
Representation for contractors at NHBRC,
Representation for Employers for Labour Matters at Con/Arb proceedings at the CCMA, Arbitration representation at CCMA, chair and conduct disciplinary hearings and retrenchments, and
Dispute resolution services.

Submissions for WSPs (Workplace Skills Plans) close on 30 April 2026.

The Skills Development Levy (SDL) is a mandatory 1% monthly payroll tax for employers with an annual payroll exceeding R500,000, payable to SARS.
The WSP is a document that outlines an employer’s training and skills development priorities. Submitting a WSP on time, allows employers to claim back up to 40% of their levy as a mandatory grant.

Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal possesses the skills and expertise to compile it on your behalf and members are encouraged to take the opportunity to gain tangible value for their monthly levy payments.
