What an informative morning our March meet up was!!
Yes yes yes we know - Taxes, Wills and Estates are boring!!!😜
We want to avoid them at all costs 🤦‍♀️
But we do this at our peril.
Anton Roets, Momentum financial adviser along with Stefan Nortman and Ferdi Steyn from MSK Corporate Solutions shared their expertise and knowledge with us.
Our heads are spinning, it did feel a bit overwhelming but the reality is death and taxes need to be faced.
We can no longer say we didn’t know and in any event that excuse doesn’t wash with SARS! Ignorance is definitely NOT bliss in this instance.
And of course Francois and his team atThe Bagel & Breww made sure we were well taken care of. It’s such a beautiful venue.
Next meet up is Weds 2 April.

Our June meet up was our second biggest one yet! 35 ladies learned about the Buy Local Lowveld initiative from Stacey and then chirologist Kevin Leak had us absolutely spellbound as he shared how our lives are written in the lines on our hands.
Even the skeptics were amazed .
Country Cafe was our new venue and did not disappoint. Dalene, Anton and the team took excellent care of us.
Collaborate is a monthly meet up for women entrepreneurs and business owners, building connections and relationships 💜

What a beautiful and powerful April meet up! Our theme “How are you coping?” Led to some profound and open conversation and more than a few tears 😭
We also got to meet our first Collaborate baby, who came along with Mom Natasha, all of 10 days old. There were plenty of willing babysitters 🤣
Celine Snoeck Cruse spoke about TRE Therapy and how it can support the body. BeJay Watson led a discussion on how we can better support each other in these challenging times we all face.
And of course Suzette and her Orange Owl Coffee Shop team took good care of us.
What a beautiful and supportive group this has turned into 💜

And we are back at Orange Owl Coffee Shop for our March meet up!
Wonderful turn out, new faces and we had some deep discussions around our businesses, the challenges we experience with pricing correctly, the struggle with people asking for discount, valuing what we offer, being taken advantage of by friends and family and much more!
This is clearly something a lot of business women battle with and it’s a topic we are going to revisit in coming months.
Our most disliked phrase - I’m looking for high quality/exceptional service that doesn’t cost “an arm and a leg”🤦‍♀️
So good to be back in our happy place with Suzette and her team.

And we’re back!! Our first meet up of 2024 was held at Marti Heidtmann-de Waal beautiful venue Breath Space and we were so grateful for the cool shade of the trees
in these scorchio temps!🔥🌞
30 ladies reconnected, shared, walked the labyrinth and enjoyed the fresh air, sunshine, Marti’s homemade ice tea and snacks
A gentle and perfect way to move into 2024💜

Grace and Gratitude at our year end function.
Sublime food from Sue Martin, who also opened her beautiful home when we had to move to Plan B due to weather concerns.
Sue has stepped back into the catering world and wowed everyone 😍
The beautiful Collaborate notebook was gifted to everyone.
Some of the Collaborators brought along their wares to sell.
Angela Kent hosted the gin and bubbles bar 🍾🍾🥂🥂
Thank you to my Collaborate team Peggy Janssens Larissa Mulder-Barnett and BeJay Watson for creating a beautiful morning of sharing and love.
This has become such a special group and it’s wonderful to see the growth, love and connections made.
Really looking forward to what 2024 will bring.

What an awesome November meet up! BeJay Watson arranged for Jenny Pott to come and facilitate a drumming session for us.
Our November theme is Peace and we chatted about ways to bring ourself back to peace. Music, movement, dance and breathing all bring you back to the present moment.
We had such fun! 🪘🪘🪇
Our last meet up at Orange Owl Coffee Shop for this year. It’s been wonderful to have new faces every month and to see the growing connections💜

You know conversation is going to be animated when the topic is money! Our October theme It’s Not About The Money created lively discussion. Unice-Ann Badenhorst owner of YOONS Eatery shared her story around the creation of Yoons and what keeps her motivated in very challenging times. We delved into Jodene Shaer Ego voices in the head and how these custodians of self-awareness impact our money relationship. And yes, there is definitely a workshop brewing here!
31 ladies and it’s wonderful to see how Collaborate grows every month. Suzette and her team at Orange Owl Coffee Shop always take such good care of us, even though we can be a noisy lot!🤣
Now over 2 years old, Collaborate offers organic networking and connection for women entrepreneurs and business owners💜

So many happy faces at this morning’s meet up, not notwithstanding the unexpected chilly weather. We learnt all about our values and the importance of aligning our lives with them from Denise Sohandev
Di Atherton did a fascinating demonstration with dowsing rods showing how our thoughts affect the physiology of our bodies and our energy. Our thoughts are a LOT more powerful than we realize!
When the most frequent comments we hear are “this meet up is so inspiring”; “I feel so uplifted” and best of all “this is my soul food” it makes our hearts very very happy. Thank you to Suzette at Orange Owl Coffee Shop and her team for always accommodating us.
